Hi Folks

Has anyone fixed a failed neutral warning light on their Sporty recently? Was it the switch (which is a bitch to get at) or the wiring or actual light. Interested to find out the issues out there.

 

I've changed a few light assemblies! I'm yet to do a switch.

my N light sometimes comes on when riding in gear, same with the security key light.... no idea why. Intermittent problem.

Disconnected the wiring connector under the motor for the neutral switch. When earthed out the light comes on. So no problem with the warning light. Hooked up an ohm meter to test the switch and it doesn't earth out.
Last time the neutral light stopped working I changed the gearbox oil and it started to work. God knows why. Anyway nearly due for an oil change so see what happens after that. The neutral switch is in a prick of a place to replace it.
