I'm thinking when they changed the engine over and downloaded base program the may have been turned off.
Thanks for your help guys.
I'm thinking of changing my head gasket to a thinner one ( more compression). Possibly shave the heads to up compression. Can anyone tell me if it's just unbolt lift off and torque down again. Or will there be gasket compond on there requiring heads to be levered off then cleaning up the surface ?????? . I was going to change cams but have changed my mine. I need to change lifters. To save some money I'm going to take rocket boxes off and reuse pushrods rather than cutting them. If it's easy to take heads off while I'm there I might give it a go but if it's messy having to scrape gasket and compound off I'll leave it alone. Don't need to get shit in the bores.
Well mate if your change your head gasket your heads have to come off !! " border="0" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" />
There is no compound, it's just unbolt and torque up but there is quite a few components, rocker boxes, rocker assemblies, heads, throttle body/intake runners, exhaust, top stabilizer etc etc
Cheers Guys. Think I will stick with just doing the tappets. Will save me some dough. Bike gos well enough. I just get excited sometimes. If I do the pushrods from the top I should just be up for cost of tappets and some gaskets.
Your right Ozymax. Can you buy them from the dealer.
Thanks Guys.
