When I read bike mags the most interesting thing to me is what they have done to their engines and what results they got. The tech talk and question are also great. Heavy Duty did a Tech Torque edition once and I loved it. I quess that's why I enjoy this forum so much too.

Anyway what I'm asking is for those that are interest is to post what you have done to what and how it went. Kind of a bike porn thread. I think any newbies to bike mods will enjoy reading what has worked or not as much as me. We often ask what pipe, what cams what the fuck works. So please start bragging or crying and see what happens.

Ive gone with the mines bigger than yours theory. Complete engine swap from the boring factory 80ci to 124ci S&S motor. Upgraded to S&S clutch and a set of Vance and Hines big shots staggered. Dynoed at 121rwhp. Many a teething issue, if only it would play the game and start consistently, destroys battery after battery and still trying to get to the bottom of the problem.......But when she goes, absolutely hammers!

Sam 1085 go with decompressors. that will save your batterys. Who cares if you don't get your money back by doing mods. It's all about the fun factor. Money comes and goes . So does time so have some fun along the way.

I guess some people like fake engines as long as it has a HD badge on the tank all is good

There is a few thread wreckers around these parts

thats why people are keeping things to themselves

Yep. This whole forum has turned into a bit of a joke compared to a few years ago.

Too many people interested in carrying on like children in Off Topic and turning other threads to shite than offer advise or help.

Bit of a shame really. Lucky there are other Oz sites now that don't have the "dick swingers", hopefully they wont come over and fuck those up as well.

S&S bits in mine and their fucking awesome lol and guess what, my bike is still a Harley I don't care what anyone says.
I bet there are plenty of parts on HD's now that they don't make themselves just like any auto company so lighten up.
Maybe a fair point about resale but selling mine isn't something I'm ever thinking about doing so that's a moot point for me personally

me personally I luv changing my bikes to my tastes/riding style etc and luv looking at other guys mods and hearing about their go fast stuff oem or after market, that's the main thing why I check forums out
always learning and picking up tips..........sure you get your fair share negative posts but no need to stop posting useful info or keep things to yourself .......sure there are people that use their HD as an extension of their dick I just move past their posts onto the more informative ones so all said and done the thread can be saved Hilly

That's another great thing with Harleys over Jappers etc is the great ability to change it and make it your own. How many great conversations started with talking about your bike and what you have done to it. Different people from different lives talking like mates.

Wow that escalated quickly! Love my bike for what it is, S&S engine an all. If it was a Twin Cam probably would have stuck to Harley Davidson and gone with SE 120R........in saying that my dads SE 110 stage 4 had 2 engine rebuilds in 3 years an hes gone with a S&S 124 rebuild and after 5000km its much more reliable and performs heaps better.

When it all comes down to it, bang for buck I was going to get the most power and performance from S&S, and power and performance is what I was after so thats why I went with S&S.

I mean its not like i put a Ford motor in a Chev!

Screamin' Eagle parts were made in Taiwan, don't know if the 120R engine is but I would suspect so. S&S are U.S. made as far as I know.

Ok to answer Dutchy's initial question:
    S&S 106 big bore kit
    S&S 585 easy start cams
    Stock heads for now
    Baisley spring
    SE heavy duty clutch spring
Big sucker and short shots with custom baffles I made
    Professional dyno tune
    96hp/114 tq
Very happy considering stock heads and TB
