Will softail forward controls bolt straight onto my 1980 FXE shovelhead superglide?  I have been getting mixed responses on this and im struggling to find parts for my shovel (both new and second hand).

What's the difference between them? My right side mount (two hole bracket on the frame) has been cut off and I need to weld on a new one would it help if I use a different mount

What is the difference between them? Is it hole dimensions or positions?

just too confuse you more there is early(84 to 88 ?) and late 89 to 99 softail evo forwards too right side is different
