anybody instal the S & S inner bearing chamfered race? They reckon it wont walk on mainshaft like harley one but at about $80aus landed not cheap ( can stick with harley bearing and seal in the inner primary)

i got 32000kms out of harley inner bearing race and wondering if just as easy to press another OEM inner bearing race back onto mainshaft

otherwise there baker high torque bearing kit or all balls bearing kit

I used the all balls one.Got about 15000 k's on that now n no probs.

As doing myself i probably have to get tool to press bearings in and out i guess if go with these set ups

To get the old one off the shaft,cut it carefully with a dremel.
Don't score the shaft.Knock it off with a cold chisel.
I used the heartland tool to install new one.
With the bearing,You'll need a press,Take ya time n set it up carefully n square.
Support the cover properly so it doesn't break.

I would definately look at the Baker one piece bearing.
Much easier later on if you ever need to replace output seals etc.

You can do it with a press, or use the large socket and all thread method.

thanks fella's, now i no expert but finding out the 08 models up have shaft which stops race going back towards nut and baker dont have set up for 08+up bikes

info from other forums reckon put some loctite 640? sleeve retainer on harley race,

great feedback, good experience working on bike as may do the 30T pulley during winter
