Just noticed a post in the product review section asking about kms on 120R motors.

So what is the highest kms you've put on one bike both with, and without, a rebuild?

I put 180,000kms on my '86 Softail before I sold it and it was still going like a train. No rebuild. (Regretted selling it ever since but that's another story...)

Not surprised that Beemers seem to be the high-mileage kings but I'd have expected a few more stories of high-mileage Hogleys...

105000km on the Roadking, but that was after a rebuild @ 53000km. BMW K100 did over 150000km before I sold it.

My 92 Ultra had 100k on it when I bought it. It now has about 250k with a new motor going in at about 100k ago. The gearbox has been changed to a 6 speed. Expect to get anoother 100k before doing anything major.

Umm, I am guilty of turning bikes over after 18 months in the '80s. Having ridden them into the ground, no run-in just flogged them until I got sick of it & brought a new one.
The most Km's I put on a bike was just over 20K's, the poor cunts who brought these bikes must have thought they got a bargain. Enough said, I was in a club back then & everyone had the same attitude. I had a Soft Tail Heritage which cost me $14,500 traded it in on ST Springer, got $14,500 for the Heritage & the Springer cost $16,500, so the change over was only $2000.

You can't get these change over prices today, but I ride to work & use the bike as my daily transport, but will never get the Km's up that most of you will. I'm a fucking old prick (I turn 60 this year) I still enjoy a ride, mostly solo these days, but I have great memories & plenty of bullshit still to be told, most of you still have your life ahead of you, never forget that, you too will become an old cunt like me. Enjoy your rides & live free, it really doesn't matter how many Km's you ride, as long as you still enjoy it.
