Hi has anybody had trouble compressing front springs on a 883 super low sportster to do up the top net the spring protrude 40mm above fork tubes

You have to be tough! I do them by hand! Once you've done a few they are easy!
Some people make/buy all sorts of contraptions to help but in the end they can be done by hand.
Are you able to bring them to me? I can do it for you.

Thanks for your reply. I will give it another go if I can't get it I will put springs in with out spacers and bring it over if it's not too far and rides ok. What area are you in. I am in Bendigo area. Regards Graham

I replaced my fork caps on my 48 with some nice Anodized black ones, it was a prick of a job. Just brute force and a lot of swearing is all it took. Just watch your eyes lol.

Derrimut! If you can/want pull the forks off the bike and bring them to me, that way I can also check/ set the oil heights for you .

Thanks for your help I put new springs in and put in 20mm spacers but I know oil levels will not be right and I still need to put in 50mm spacers. I really appreciate your offer of help when would suit you I don't know how to send you a personal message with my details. Regards Graham
