Clutch fluid

When I bled my brakes a few months (what a job that was had to make up a vacuum pump) back I used the hd dot 5 fluid and that has a purplish tinge to it. Only thing I can think of is that they may not have cleaned out the reservoir. The light brown colour of the brake fluid would suggest that it's old, unless your running dot 4 or something, I hear that on the v rods hd did play around with different dot standards, mine being a 2005 b series. I'm just blaggin' here maybe. I'll have to go out and have a look

It's due to oil contamination from the aluminium in the M. Cyl bore.
My Ktm has a brembo clutch and it does the same.
Why did it take 2. 5 hours to change ?

Just checked my NRS (Jan 2014) it also has the same problem, to make things even better the bike was serviced four days ago.

I will be calling the dealer in the morning and ill get back to you.

Why would you need to go back to the dealer with a bunch of mates?!

Called the dealer and was told the issue is on all NRS due to a lubricant in the clutch system from the factory mixing with hydraulic fluid.

All that was telling me is the hydraulic fluid was contaminated. Something i expected from a dealer.

This issue needs to be addressed.
