I pulled the V Twin from my bike and ran into 3 issues putting the replacement engine in.

    The service manual says,

    e. Tighten compensating sprocket to 65 ft-lbs (88.2 Nm).
    f. Loosen compensating sprocket back 90 degrees.
    g. Re-tighten compensating sprocket to 65 ft-lbs (88.2
    Nm).
    h. Using a grease pencil, mark a straight line on the
compensating sprocket bolt continuing the line over
onto the chaincase housing for reference.
    i. Using the marks as a guide, turn compensating
    sprocket bolt 62±1 degrees.

Qustion A. Are they telling me to torque the bolt to 88.2 Nm and then tighten the bolt an additional 62 degrees? angry

Qustion B. I am suposed to torque the clutch hub mainshaft nut to 70-80 ft-lbs (94.9-108.5 Nm) The mainshaft nut has left handed threads and my torque wrench only torques when in the clockwise direction, am I suposed to buy another fucking torque wrench? frown

Qustion C. When adjusting the clutch at the clutch hub, how do you torque the nut up and hold an allen key in the adjuster screw at the same time?indecision

    Thanks in advance.

A sounds like it most late modal stuff is like that for bolt stretch

    B yep buy another one

C not 100 % sure on a twin cam ,but on a evo there two different nuts won bolts the hub to shaft and the clutch adjuster goes through adjuster plate/lock nut
which locks into the clutch hub buy a circlip

    A. Others will have to give advice
    B. My Torque wrench goes both ways, borrow from mate or workshop you know !
    C. The torque is not high for the lock nut. Use a angled ring spanner with allen key through the middle holding adjuster screw in place , snug tight, and one good oomph.
