They do bounce around a lot, I guess that's good !! This is in an EVO though.

Be very interested to see the outcome when you test it.

I am praying this unit really does reduce vibration but seeing the brochure actually notes "will not completely fix vibration" I'm a little skeptical. At just over $400 AU it's a big outlay to have it disappoint. But it's only money and if it makes the ride more pleasurable it's worth every cent. Really interested to hear the results.

Been following this thread on this new front mount and just curious as to can we use it in cohoots with a Sputhe or similar rear stabiliser ?? I'am like most and have the same vibe issues and replaced a front mount at 10k (which had collapsed) and didn't change the vibe prob. Went through all the alignment procedure and spacing and so on several times still no luck!!. Waiting on Lucky's outcome on this like most Dyna riders on this forum. Fingers crossed!!!! Thanks LuckyLick13!!!!
    Cheers Kev

Lucky!! one would think that adding the rear stabiliser would help handling wise as you wouldn't have the side shifting of the swingarm/rear motor/box.!! Me just gunna have to be patiant and see what your outcome is. I was on the verge of investing in the Sputhe setup when you started this thread so wait I will paitently!!!winkyes

    Thanks again!!

I've been running a true track for over 5 yrs now, rear link is paramount in controlling the wallowing through corners the Dyna is famous for. I havnt replaced an engine mount, front or rear, since fitting either. Would be about due though as a matter of normal servicing, LOL.
The Predator is just another version with a slightly different look and design, looks good though. Only thing is they dont show a lot of the front stabiliser link in their literature or website pix. Hmmmmm?????
Ive never thought the Dyna vibrated too much at all, I never like the way thay handled outta the box though.
Lower than stock shox will cause corner wallowing no matter what stabilisier you have mounted and will be 100% worse without a stabiliser fitted, worn tyres also contibute to poor corner stability with the Dyna.
Engine vibration has a lot to do with the engine itself also, poorly assembled engine with shitty crank n bearings, poor AFR tuning, poor ignition timing all contribute to the dreaded vibes.
If changing to a new set of mounts doesn't cure your blues, ya need to look deeper, not wait for 'miracle' cures. LOL
Just wondering too, I wonder how many of these riders complaining about excessive vibes have ever ridden a rubber mount before, what are they comparing to?? Softails maybe! LOL
If ya think ya bike is vibing bad, jump on a shovel or earlier, see what the Ol' Skool crew had to deal with.

I have hired a 2014 Model WG this weekend. First impression is the shocking engine vibration all through the rev range. Very ordinary for this day and age. I rented a 2014 fat Bob recently and it have a vibration around 2000rpm. No where as bad as the Wide Glide. Don't think I will be buying another HD at this rate. A lot of money to be disappointed....

Good luck with the vibratechnic mount. I got sick of emailing for price and availability with no responses. Been used in the states most of this year with reasonable results. I fail to see why they are US 260 and AU 400. I know there is a tie up with the local HD club over there, but that's a lot of difference.

Are the engine mounts the cause of the vibrations or are they a simptom of the the vibrations caused by something else?

Also are these vibes model specific? On here I'm seeing mainly wide glides? however in the states it seems to be switchbacks and fatbobs.

But you have to take what you read on the US forums with a pinch of salt as they are either one-eyed HD fans or they are moaners.

    Hi,

The jury out on the mount for those who used it, the thought is as it has a stabilizer in it it may be a better alternative to the stock mount, but no wizz bang device

    Thanks

I had my finger hovering over the payment button on a predator front mount but I cant find many if any reviews on it, its a lot of coin for a maybe fix. My 2014 street bob has an annoying vibration on decel and around 2500 revs. I should probably get it checked first as it seemed to get noticeable after taking off from a stop and park the other week. Lucky so you have had the mount fitted for over a month now, why do yo need a "go ahead"  to write about it??? I must have missed something here....

Oh oops yes you do say that, I got put in the thread half way though after goggling reviews on the predator mount. Its an improvement.... is it a 400 dollar worth improvement??

After contacting Harley Australia they won't acknowledge this excessive vibration is an issue and claim it's "within tolerances". I'm not sure who wrote the tolerance level but it's crap. So brushed aside by HD we are left to find a fix for this ourselves, so I purchased and fitted a predator mount to my 2012 Fatbob and IMO it's not worth the $440+ (Aussie dollars) price tag. Does give very minor improvement but the vibration is still there. It actually changed the vibration feel.
Anyway each to there own to try it but it's not a resolution to the basic design issue that causes the dreaded excessive vibration. We keep investigating although it sounds like we put up with excessive vibration or we simply choose another brand. Good luck.
