    Need help fellas

Any forum members that have a 2012 or later road king, ultra or Electra with a spoked 15x 5 rear profile rear wheel.

This also includes some softies with 16x 5 rear profile rim.

I am chasing the outside diameter of the spoke flange on the rear hub.

Please let me know what size wheel width the hub measurement comes from.

if you have a 16 x  3 1/2 rear profile rim feel free to jump in too.

thanks for any help yas can give fellas

There are no 5" wide spoked profile 16" dia wheels for Soft Tails as far as I know, only 16"x 3". Plenty of cast wide wheels of various diameters though. Most of the spoked wheel hubs were the same from '99 onwards IIRC, till HD changed the hubs to accommodate the cushion drive feature for the Tourer models in '08 or '09 I think.

Will get back to you with the measurements of the spoke flanges for an '09 & later RK Classic profile wheel, although they measure 16"x 5" rather than 15"x 5" as you mention. - Rob

Pictures with measurements of the wheel flanges for ya chriso. Hope they are what you are after. - Rob

The first pic shows the stagered pattern of the spokes in the flange & the distance between the coloured arrows. This is the disc brake side of the hub.

The next pic shows the width of the hub.

This pic shows the drive side without the cushion drive components installed.

This shows the shape & dimensions of the Dyna/Soft Tail hub. Completely differant animal except for the brake disc mount.

Much appreciated, hope i can get to shout you and ale one day.

The length of the spokes is 150mm from the threads coming out of the nipple, to the bend @ the hub flange end. They are all the same length, only look as though they are different because of the different angles they approach the hub from the rim. Soft Tail spokes are 160mm. - Rob
