Cleaning Helmets

    G'day,

    Can anyone recommend a sanitizer spray for helmet liners? I was thinking glen 20 but not sure it it will ruin the wifes precious skin hehe.

    pour half a bottle of domestos into your misses lid and swish it around for while. rinse thourghly with warm soapy water. problem solved

    I was always told use the same shit you wash your hair with - shampoo (not conditioner). Remove the lining first if you can and just wash that unless it's really nasty - otherwise just stick the whole helmet in a bucket of warmish water and shampoo away. Rinse with a hose and let it dry.

    Dettol spray perhaps....I would check out the Glen 20 section at your supermarket.

    I am surprised 'someone' has not suggested Woolies Home Brand oil. NOTE I am NOT advocating the use of oils to clean a helmet liner.

    2 minutes on full power in the microwave will do the job
