Have seen this posted on other overseas forums but have not found anything on here about it.
So I thought I'd start a thread to see what sort of set ups other Sporty riders have for packing on their bikes for a trip, overnight to week long to even longer.
Post a pic of your bike packed for a trip or from when your on a trip.
Also what's the longest trip you guys have done.
I'm looking to do a lot more riding this year and all I have to do now is figure out how to stop this having to go to work thing from interfering with this.
No luggage on but this is my setup for an overnighter. Chopped fender rack and sissy bar with pad.
I fabricated my own rack and had it powdercoated. I purchased the bag from Andy Strapz. There's plenty of room for an overnighter. I also carry a litre bottle of fuel. I've travelled over 900kms in a single day but that was a bloody marathon and I couldn't wait to get off my bike at the end of the day! I usually cover distances of 700kms in a day and stop at a pub for the night. Here in Tassie we're spoilt for choice. In a little of two years I have covered over 52,000kms on my Iron and she's never missed a beat.
