    Hi Guys

Was thinking of increasing the displacement on my 96"

Found some info  from various sources and I have done some reading - not all! I interested in Australia experience on these kits etc Was looking to do all the installation work myself with a budget of under $2000 if possible using stock head (for now) and injection system etc, followed by a good dyno using my tts mastertune

Fuel Moto Big Bore complete kit http://www.fuelmotousa.com/107-inch-big-bore.html -

Pros: seems like good value, good write-ups on the american forums

Cons:have never heard of Wood Knight Prowler cams or wood directional lifters, have to send them my jugs for rebore, although I can have that done locally?

NRHS has the Axtell kit http://www.nrhsperformance.com/ekittc.shtml

Pros: NRHS and Axtell jugs have good reputation

    Cons: Not sure? What cams??

    Hammer Performance http://hammerperf.com/tcbigborekits.shtml

Pros: Hammer Performance has good reputation

Cons: have to send them my jugs for rebore, although I can have that done locally?

    S&S 106 kit http://www.sscycle.com/product/106-Big-Bore-Kit-p24047.html

    Pros: Solid reputation

    Cons: dont know

"My own kit"  - order some quality pistons, gaskets, pushrods etc, have the jugs rebored locally,

    Pros - maybe cost?

Cons - limited support than this site of course

Again looking for local experience and opinions please - If you have opinions on whats cams ( I understnad compression release is required if you take it up to 106/107??) would suit each kit please feel free to comment.

    Thanks for the help

I did S&S big bore kit, their 585 cams and adjustable pushrods, SE HD clutch spring, Baisley bypass spring plus a professional dyno tune, wrenched myself total cost was just under $2000 and she goes pretty good :)

Use the easy start cams for compression release, what cams you get depends on where you what the power/torque to come on, support well yes here and yank forums is all you need. You will need to beef up the clutch somehow, the SE spring is enough for me so far, hasn't slipped at all with it on the road or on the dyno, did before I put it in with this engine work

    thanks Daggs

Did you get the kit from Rollies or did you bring it in yourself? what are your numbers? How many kms have you put on the bike since the mod? any issues?

585 are gear driven arent they? what are the implications of changing from chain to gear mod?

    so many questionscheeky
