Hi, would anybody like to share how many K's you average on a tank of fuel. My bike has vance and hine dresser duals, monster round slip on mufflers and a heavy breather AC, SE tuner, at the moment the bike has travelled 1400 k's and at best my fuel range is 206 k's this seems way too low. I'm booking the bike for it's first service next week and would appreciate a bit more information just in case I get stuffed around. Thanks in advance for your help
350km no probs . Fill ya tank , do 100kms and fill it again , note how much ya put in . 22.7 litre tank , @ 5.5 litres per 100km , 400km should be possible .
My '14 Streetglide does 350km+ two up, with a heap of gear ( very heavy, close to maximum allowable weight).
Reckon i could squeeze 400 out of it. I've only got S&S SPO mufflers on it.
I'm impressed by how good the economy is....
Hi, I have a 2012 Road king and usually get around 380 to 400klm to a tank, using Caltex 95 vortex, Caltex seems more consistent than any other fuel I have tried.... I fill to the brim just below the fuel cap .... I have V&H monster ovals, stage one with SE tuner and a set of Xied's fitted which actually uses around 5 to 8% more fuel, though if I get to heavy on the throttle it quickly drops to around 350klm. Oh and my bike has done 12500klm since September 2013 when I got it new.
I bank on getting around 300 k's 2up out of the stg4 for usually around 16-17 litres, I try to stay in front of traffic.
Thanks for the input, problem solved, just had the bike for the it's first service, turned the settings for the gauges was in miles not Klms. All the short rides i did on the hot days, silly me all i was doing was topping the tank up at the time thinking the tank must be smaller than last bike.
Good stuff doing a 200klm run tommorow about half tank
