    G'Day.

Does anyone know where (in Sydney if possible) I can purchase a 1/4 inch 12 point socket, as I need one to replace my front brake pads.

I have tried numerous tools shops in western sydney (Campbelltown area) with no luck????

If I cant get one from Australia. Is it possible to use another tool???

    Cheers.

PS you can also buy 12 points in an Allen Key set type style.

    I have a wee 1/4 inch 12 point ringkey , had it for near 30 years !

Harley brake pads replacement is it's only job now

Most 1/4 inch sockets will be "hex" of course by now , so be careful

You are very restricted for space , so a tool with a thick shoulder won't go into the recess to grip the bolt enough

Round them off and yer fucked so again be careful

Mate I bought some at Total tools, up here not sure about down there but I'd be surprised if Glenfords don't have one. If you don't have any luck send me a message and I will get you one from here.

    Cheers Guy's.
I tried Glenford's tools but had no luck.
I'll try Total Tools near Liverpool tomorrow.
If I do no good I will certainly give you a yell Simmac18.
I would hate to try something like a spanner and strip the little bitch.

Have you tried a 12 point ring spanner?  That's what I use.

    Cheer,

Bunnings sells a few sets, as does supercheap, as does BigW (Cresent brand?).

+1 for the Lyndall Brake Pads... very long mileage and less dust residue on the chrome spokes!!
