    Hey lads, at 3000 revs moving at 100kph my mirrors disapear, but at 3000 revs in neutral all is good, smooth as really, what else should i be checking over? Wheel balance, front shocks?  Not sure....

    Check the riser bolts are tight (19mm) and front engine mount.

    The front engine mounts sag, sometimes loosening them off and placing a jack under the motor then retightening is the key, but only sometimes! I see them usually covered in oil from slack mechanics not cleaning up after a filter change. 19mm= 3/4 6 or half a dozen same same.

    So given in neutral at 3000 revs there is no vibe, could the gearbox play a role in it?

    Hmm, wonder if the front fork is a bit loose...would front wheel balance play a role?

    could it be the crappy dunlops? my bike was like riding with knobbies on with the original dunlops, but with the avons it`s totally awesome now. just a thought (((-;

    If the scorcher is made by dunlop then yes:)
    Dropped in to Frasers yesterday, a rep pointed me in the direction of Brendan the workshop manager, i requested to chat to him about the issue as he has extensive knowledge about it, he refused to chat with me!
    Cant wait to fill in the review form that was sent to me by HD USA.

    venom on the front, cobra on the back, they seem to wear well, looking fairly new still, with about 5000 on them, so should get 12,000 or so out of them, scorchers are good though too (((-;

    Don't worry about too much Baddog, Mine does the same, but as soon as you edge it up a tad, say 103+ it goes smooth.
    I put this down to the harmonics of the bike.

    Popped???

    Hey, just thinking Baddog, Have you taken it to a Dealer for a second opinion??
    Must admit, it's a real shit at 100K but OK everywhere else.

    The brake hose from the master has bust its seam... Will be taking the bike to ThunderTech pretty soon for a 1200 upgrade so they will check everything...

    Shit !!!!! I hope that is not the nature of the beast.

    Yea, I am also planning the 1200 upgrade - not too sure which way I'm going just yet - just as long as it's got Weisco Piston which weigh in at the same weight as stock, meaning we keep the same Red-Line, not that I spend a lot of tome up there....

    Nah, just poor work by Enzed when Frasers forgot to order a longer hose when i changed to mini apes...will sit down with ThunderTech to discuss the various options...

    my 883 vibrates at 90kph and at 105kph. I've questioned the dealer and their reply was : "its the nature of the beast and that's how they are".

    Next service/upgrade will be with a new mechanic so we'll see what they say.

    Had a chat with Dino at thundertech about the issue, he assures me that my motor isnt tuned correctly given my screamin eagle upgrade. I found him to be a real stand up bloke who took the time to go over the pros and cons of everything, his workshop was impecable and the manner of the other staff pretty damn excellent, never once felt i was been taken for a noob, he took the time to go over the different parts of the Hammer upgrade with me, till i understood the difference between the bs offered at Frasers, and what a professional setup had to offer, cheesus, he even does a two week heat treatment on an upgraded motor. This man has my patronage as well as my partners. My two lumens.
