Don't know if it's been done before but  now that the 120rs have been about for awhile and there's a few on here with em, I'm keen to know  if anyone has racked some decent ks up on one without pulling to down changing parts and mucking around with it all the time.

seems they've all disappeared, or nobody done any decent ks on em yet?

Well Ben Odin,  I love it to much to sell.  Only 33,000kms now and tires back on. New night Dragons front and rear.  Have not been riding as much lately. But still having fun.

Getting a little bored with mine.  Need a few more pony's. A lot more would be good but not realistic. If my money tree was to grow that would solve it all.

Shave a bit of heads to up comp to 10.7 to better match the 266s.
A decent tune ( a lot of Cowboys out there in this department) and providing you got decent pipes you be hanging on for dear life LOL

It's not a huge cost and no need to fuck around changing cams,Pistons etc

17000ks on the 120rx in 13 months, apart from the busted Valve spring and valves seats still running strong on long rides and the quarter mile

Mine ran shit until Neville Lush tuned it. He suggested the compression increase aswell. Front head gasket starting to leak a little oil now.  More power maybe closer in the future than I want.

Yeah up the comp for a reasonably cheap boost, cam change would be next, both mean retuning though, just whack on a pro charger or turbo mate.... I know you want too :)

Show me a cam which will work better without a total head rework. SHOW me , like evidence, back to back both bikes tuned properly with only a cam change. Sorry Daggs, nothing personal, but I have had three free advice calls this week about this subject. What cam is proven to be better? If I can know this I won't have to spend ages on the phone with these guys. I can just say" put this xxxx in and get your guy to tune it".

Lushys post above is exactly what he said to me when I suggested cam change in mine, upping the comp and leaving the 266 in was also suggested to me by him.

Results of 140 HP speak for them self I think.

My heads will have to come off during winter period because the front head gasket starting to leak a little oil. Plus only one exhaust stud left on rear head. Managed to get it to seal but only so I can ride to get through warm weather. I know when exhaust leaks anywhere because back fires when I back off.I don't know how much more can be done to 120r heads but Ill aleast go with Lushy's recommended compression increase. Maybe roller rockers revised spring rates as top end is noisy. Then take it back to Lushy for retune. Done about 33,000km now, not sure how long rings etc should last but time will tell.  Learned to like the CAMs just need to work the gears more. Daggs yours does have more torque than mine under 4500rpm for sure. Id love one of those Big Cube 130plus cube turbo engine but have to win Lotto.  Like I've said before 135 hp starting to feel a bit lame. About another 50 or more ft pounds of torque would be awesome but unrealistic.  I'll just keep dreaming.........

Managed to fuck seals on my rear shockers on our lovely roads. Front end is shuddering when breaking at low speeds, head stem bearings bit sticky and stiff, front forks and swing arm clunking. So going to be busy boy this winter.

It's good for the 120r guys that the stock cams are good performers. They'll be happy to hear that for sure.
I have no experience with them but just thought that there should be something better than what they come with, stock off the shelf.
Also I knew that Dutchy was contemplating some headwork.

Sounds like a bit of work for you Dutchy with the issues you mentioned but you do ride it "spiritedly" lol

Hit another huge bump again today one of those you don't see. Heard big crack noise as it bottomed out. Can't find anything obvious wrong. Maybe thats the sound of the shocker with no oil left in it.
