I've just bought redline shock proof gear oil just wondering if anyone else has used this and if so is it as good as the bottle says it is. In the red line book it says to use the heavy duty shock proof oil so that's what I got. It was $32 for 1 quart.

Have been using it for a couple of years now, better feel than the stock Harley oil, anyway you have it now so put it
in and let us know your thoughts.

It looks like strawberry thickshake. But it does make far smoother gear changes.

Yep it's in and I took it for a ride and wow it is smooth through the gears and for the price I'll be using it from now on. Time will tell as I didn't get the box hot. But I can't find a bad word spoken about it anywhere. Just wanted to see if anyone on here is using it.

Yep it's good chit...plus if you spring a leak anywhere it'd easy to pick what's leaking.

I've been using it for a couple of months now. I wasn't that impressed at first but after a couple of rides it seemed a lot better.

Just a comment on tranny and primary oil.     What ever takes your fancy, having a different colour thats different to your motor oil has to be a plus,   finding  out what part of the engine may be leaking,  I've used Belray oil over the years .     The real good news is I've never had a bad leak problem !!!!

I got it from motorsports accessories in north Brisbane look them up on the net. I used to get all my oils and parts from them when I had my tough Hg prem and I found them the cheapest in aus for everything I needed and the plus was they where just down the road from me. They deal direct with redline as the bloke who imports it sells it to shop for more then they sell it for. Wimbo in the book it says to use heavy shockproof gear oil in all evo gear boxes. It's also says it can be rated to 75/250 so that's got to be a plus.
