Hey all,  Happy Australia Day!  A big shout out to all the servicemen and women out there who have been diligently protecting our freedoms.  So what did you do to celebrate our national day?  I was lucky, perfect weather here, and along with a bunch of mates went out to escort a young groom, and then his bride to their wedding.  About 22 bikes all told.  A lazy ride followed by a cold one at a local pub, perfect really : )

I went to the Australia day celebrations awards at Castlemaine, sat and listened to the free music, at the free lions club BBQ and watched as a mate got a local community service award for his long service to the CFA and Scouting, well deserved it was too.

Hey Bashful, how was it? Many come along? I heard there was a turn up in ACT, but I hadn't heard about it in time to get along myself sadly. I do think though, it's important those VLAD laws go, the ramifications of these laws are decidedly awful, and consequences already proving to be a national disgrace. I know justice is nothing more than a word these days, even most barristers will tell you that, but the injustice of this type of persecution is abhorrent. It's almost inconceivable that we are facing the threats to our freedoms here in Australia, and I wonder when these inevitable legal challenges will be allowed to proceed? Is there a thread on this subject somewhere here already?

But, getting back to the topic at hand, all of your days sound, well like excellent ways to celebrate being an Aussie! I hope you had as much fun as I did, truly a bloody great country!

Where on the coast, recommend any particular rides down your way? You know, the usual, places to stay, roads to ride and a good feed?
