They look like a bargain to me if there's no head exchange required. If there is its cheaper to buy a low mile used set in the states and have them shipped to him. Whats the rest of your planned build to go with these heads.

So Hilly you have dealt with him?  reason being sometimes people change after you give em cash. The heads look good and looks like a good deal and like i said hes answer asre short and selective.

I would lean towards buying a set of 06 upwards heads in U.S I get them sent to a good builder over there. Then talk to him over the phone about what you want your bike to do I let him tell you what will work best for what you want. eg: cam, throttlebody etc.

FYI I run a 98", Woods 6 & Hillside Cycles Stge 3 heads & it goes like a rocket. I used Scott Palmer at Hillside Cycles. He recommended this build to me & he does know his shit speaking from experience with him.

Dyno gave me a great quote for a custom 106 build with cams, heads, throttle body, run in and tune. I just don't have the funds right now! Otherwise I'd make the trip to dyno in central west vic. And it'd be better than a 103 se kit IMHO.

Wish you were in Melb or closer, where I have family.  How long would it take for you to complete a job like that from go to wo?

Yeah you recommended se throttle body which comes with injectors. I think in another exchange you mentioned you could also modify the oem throttle body. I'm still wanting to do this in the future.

Sorry to hijack thread but relevant as op would may wish to consider engine build when looking at head work

Mate best to put a set Andrews 48 cams in and enjoy the ride until you invest in a complete kit. SE kits are fine if the builder sets the engine up with tight tolerances but its seldom done at harley franchises. If I brought a new bike I would pick a porter and fallow his lead with the complete build from air cleaner to exhaust and then pick the best tuner and fallow his lead with a tuning product. It's a long expensive road if you pick parts that don't work tojether and it will cost more in the long run.

Ok Ok who hijacked the thread?? so anyone else out there have any dealings with the shop?

since your all talking getting heads don't forget to get a quick release coupler for your tank fuel cross over line... best mod i have ever done, especially if you have to take the tank off..
