Hi Guys.

 

Does anyone know what you have to do to run my wires internal of my new bars that i have just fitted.

Its a 2008 Softail Night Train.

The bars have all the provisions for this, was just unsure of where to find the looms for the switch block wiring.

thought it might be easier to ask first before i start pulling the tank etc off.

Just in case there is an easier way.

I have a 2001 softail so just assuming it will be similar......but i may be mistaken.

Under the front part of the tank the switch block wiring connects to the remainder of the wiring loom
remove front and rear tank mounts
You should now be able to lift the front part of the tank just enough to get your hand in to undo the connections on each side.

might be easier to remove bars to do clutch side wiring then reinstall to do throttle side. I may be wrong on this but i am sure thats what i did with my tbars and also what i have just done on some apes

You didnt mention what bars you had installed but it can be a PITA to do internal wiring...and patience but IMHO it does make it look a lot neater and is worth the effort.

More mechanicallly minded people will be able to give you a more thorough guide but this is just the basics of how to access the wiring
