Has anyone had a dealer try to blame a larger genuine bike breakdown, costly fix of a problem that would have happened if bike was stock anyway (is it common place?) claiming that the part was improperly fitted that led to a chain of events or just a single fuck up where the two parts might be related in some way? I don't have any specific part/s in mind but say a Tuner, pipes oil temp gauge? and do they ask who did the mods? "Was it a bike shop mate or did ya have a go at this ya self? What shop? Never herd of em' " that kinda thing?

My apologies if this has been covered - computers are like women, I know the basics but press the wrong button and all he'll breaks loose and damned if I know what I did or how to fix it. ??

Thanks folks for any stories advice etc.

My bike is in getting fixed now for a stuffed thermostat.

There was no dramas with Frasers when I took it in they just said yes its bust and we will fix under warranty.

I have Supertrapps fitted and other parts and its 1 year old and there was no drama at all. They didnt even blink an eyelid.

Great service i have had from this bunch.

Suppose it all depends on what dealer , Peter Stevens , fitted pipes , filter , ect ect . on my bike , I asked them if fitting these parts affects the new bike warranty , Yes he answered , BUT he said WE WARRANTY the parts and labor so your covered either way , He said if i went elswhere and fitted pipes ect , it cpould be a problem , but if they the dealer do it no worries .

I may add , I've never had any problems with them, over the years either , i've had a few issues , on the bikes i've bought there , nothing too major , but they have always come to the party,

I was very impressed with them , when my mates new bike had a problem , when he was on his way to Tassie for a holiday , he had the problem in Ballarat , they sent someone up to pick up him , his bike and his missis , took them back to melbourne , loaned him a demo model to continue on his journey to Tassie and when he came back 2 weeks later his bike was fixed under warranty , , oN TOP OF THAT HE NEVER BOUGHT IT IN MELBOURNE , HE BOUGHT IT IN aDELAIDE .

tHATS fACKING GOOD SERVICE , AND WHY HE'S BOUGHT HIS LAST 3 BIKES OFF THEM ,
