Queensland Police Union Bundaberg representative Sergeant Marty Arnold, Sorry i note the "U" word in the article so have little faith in anything he said.

I think the majority of the statements made in the article are reasonable. Do people not believe that it is possible that in both of the stated case the riders may have been committing a more serious offence for which they were let off, and given a legitimate ticket for a lesser offence.

I can relate to both sides of this, here are two examples of mine:
1. Got a speeding ticket in the mail for 102km/hr in a 100km/hr zone, recorded by a radar speed camera at Dadswells Bridge in Victoria. Was not committing any other offence. Circa 2001.
2. Got a ticket for failing to properly display a P plate at the back of the car (the suction cup had let go and it was sitting on the back parcel shelf). This was instead of being fined for 75 km/hr in a 60 zone while on a probationary licence, the real reason I was pulled over, and enough of a reason for me to automatically lose my licence. The police officer did me a favour and let me off the speeding fine and pinged me for the p plate. Circa 1997.

I've been pulled over and let go, then I've been pulled over and Written up.
I don't believe any of this is related to the crap that Newman has brought in.
I was once on my Bicycle riding on the left hand side of a single lane two way road when an idiot did a right hand turn in a car and took me out.
Shattered my left ankle.
The Coppers booked me for riding on the left hand side of the lane and not taking the full lane up.
Another time I was hit by a bus in Peak hour traffic. Split my skull open enough where the Medics did have to drill.
This saved my life. Fucking coppers didnt even write a report. I was in a coma for 8 days.
So, a lot of shit that they say, I disregard.

Because a lot of folks have good reason not to like the police ,,,,still have to do his job the lazy twat weather people like him or not ,,,,,,same as the rest of us .
A lot of people dont like QLD coppers because they were found in court to be the most corrupt coppers in Australia ,right down to the commissioner . Thieves , liars , drug dealers , and thugs .
