hey guys

i have fitted freedom performance amendments to my 2000 dyna and just realised when about to commence a service that getting to the tramission dipstick to refill it that it wont be possible to do without removing the rear pipe . Is this the go with these pipes or is it possible to do without removing the pipe?

The exhausts fit several model years of Dynas

Over the different model years the transmission filler /dipstick has moved

On my mate's 2003 Dyna with V&H Big Shot staggered we had to cut down an Allen key

The type with a 90 degree bend , left just a 1 cm stub of the " short bit "

Bit of a pain still,1/4 of a turn at a time kinda thing , but way less pain than taking the rear pipe off every service

Thanks mate thought that would have to be the case . Bit of a pain ! Read somewhere ypu can get transmission dipsticks the same as the engine dipsticks?

Yes I have seen tranny dipsticks with a knurled knob instead of an allen recess.

Also with a hex head that stands proud for an open ended spanner to access
