Just switched the girl over to synthetic, flushed the old shit out and in with the new. Got a gallon of Amsoil at $64 a gallon which I thought wasn't to bad.

Noticing a difference?

First thing I noticed was it runs a little cooler, and smoother, I bought the oil from Peter down in Maddington, now where did I put his number?

Ok the guys name is Dean not Peter and he is in Maddington and the nmber is 94598603 and it was $64.60 for a gallon of 20W50 synthetic Amsoil. Nice old fellow, by the look of his workshop he tinkers with motorcycle engines.

Is Amsoil better than Mobil1 ?

Who would you believe czarek ???? I have tried Amsoil after using HD mineral oil and it was far better in terms of cooler running temps and less engine noise, but because I can get Mobil 1 closer to home I am now using it and it seems to do the same job as Amsoil. As said on this Forum many times before, there are so many good oils out there I don't think it would matter much which one you used as long as you change em regularly.

I had trouble finding Mobil V1 and still haven't found it as yet. No trouble with Mobil! for cars but no V1

I'm running Redline Shockproof in the transmission the whining in 5th gear is hardly noticable, good stuff

Just in case you missed it Redline are now bottling a V Twin Tranny oil, I posted the blurb on the forum somewhere.

Amsoil is good and reasonably priced, I use it in all 3 holes now
