Your first bike, come on don't be shy

    Here is something I have just found. My first legal bike a 125cc BSA Bantham, pity there is not more bike, but then there was not a lot of bike there anyhow.

    16 years old and ready to take on the world................

    Suzuki GN250. 1984 model. Got overtaken by Volvo's every time I hit a hill :)........but still loved every minute of it!

    Honda 90 bush basher, lasted 1 hr before it caught fire!

    I made a scooter frame into a motorbike with a victor 160cc engine and then brought a deckson rock hopper and installed another victa 160cc engine I scabbed from the local tip.

    1...Kawasaki 650, ex Vic police

    2...Suzuki 500, ace bars, GRP tank, bright yellow, altered gearing - quicker than Kwaka 750

    3...Suzuki 750 water bottle, stolen from Mt Druitt

    The first bike I rode on a regular basis was a Canam Bombadier 50cc mini bike (which 2 of us rode as teenagers) the first bike I actually paid for and owned was a 1974 Honda CB250.

    68 CB250, I thought it was a Norton 750 Fastback though. Doing the Sydney Pacific highway, Flying high back in 71.

    GT550 Air Ram....  3-1 pipes (LOUD). Has taken 29years to get in some real noise.  V&H Big Radius

    Honda CB200, blue. Paid around $350 for bike and helmet from Ric Andrews bike shop in Waitara in about 1980.

    1980 honda mb5. 50cc of raw power. i took out the baffle and it made the bike sound like a 125cc, fuck, was i cool. sold it a year later for a decent profit. the frame was bent by then but i forgot to tell the bloke that bought it that minor detail, i still feel bad about that to this day.

    650 BSA Gold Flash, ex cop bike. Painted it rattle can bronze for some reason, long forgotten now....

    A cb 750 / 4 ,1972 ... then a Ship load of Kawa 9`s and 1000`s ... still have the 77 Z1000 on the left in the garage but with Original Maroon paint scheme ... the 2003 model was my boy racer period , Lol ... Did Brisbane to Tassie and back on that thing ... not the most comfortable seat , Lol ... First Harley a 76 Super Glide back in 1989 ... and now a 2008 Fsxtc as well as a 1999 Springer Softail being converted to a Bobber / Chopper .
