Honda 70 Postie step through that i bought for $100 when i was 13

Old man bought me a 1985 Yamaha IT250 for $1000 when i was 14. I felt so damn lucky to have that bike. Bashed paddocks and chased sheep on a cousins farm for years.

I sold the Yamaha to buy a KTM 250 four stroke when i was old enough to get my licence.

Sold the KTM and didn't ride for years and forgot about renewing my licence as i moved interstate and the bike licence didn't transfer.

Moved back to NSW and had to start the L's again. Had an old 1993 Kawa EL250 to do the L's and P's.

Now i'm onto the sporty and haven't looked back.

1st bike was a Bridgestone 175 rotary valve twin cly street bike  with a rotary gearbox you flick a lever on top of the g/box & she went from 5 spd with netural  on the bottom or 4 spd rotary where you go to top  then flick up straight to netural good for traffic bridgestones were fast bikes,  i use to ride her on the road local  & in the scrub also ,  i wore a fullface helmet so i didn't look to young back then you didn't have to wear a helmet @ all ,  next bike was a 1968 Kawasaki Avenger 350 rotary valve twin with ace bars that was fast 115mph i use to flat track her down on the local sand flats also do big rubberies on the road  & donuts in the rain on the tar  out front of where we lived ,   i smashed her 9 times in 8 mths or 8 times in 9 mths i can't remember ,  once i landed in someones  backyard from the street  from coming off @ 90mph off tar into the gravel verge @ grass gutter stayed on the bike  flew over 2 fences too get there ,  my mate fell off in the gravel he was on the back  , it was a very hot summers night i said to my mate who lived down the same street come on the back for a ride i can hit 115 mph down the big dipper @ pinic pt well we did & on the why home i went a different way down pass the high school  i grew up in the next street thinking i knew the road realy good,   remember looking @ the speedo 90mph then into the right curve going way toooo fast  slid sideways & down she went thats when my mate fell off in the gravel ,  miss the telegraph pole by that much , the people came out of there houses wanting to call @ ambo because they were thinking i was in bad pain  but i was laughting that hard i couldn't get up then the bloke got the shits @ told very body to go back inside because this guy is a fucking idiot,   my mate's  levi cords had no arse or pockets in them just the middle seam , i had only a short sleve shirt & thongs on , only cut my foot from the gearlever when the lever  fell off ,  i had landed side saddle still hanging on to the bars , very luckly ,  my mate would not let me double him home , so he rode her back he never came for another ride again,  next bike 1970 Kawasaki 500 tripple with a drum brake on the front ' rebored oversized pistons that was a wild ride , since then lost count @ 65 bikes ago , 1st Harley 1980 @ that same time in the shed i also had 1978 Kawa thou dailyride too work  & everywhere else  , honda hore 812 cafe racer tank & tailpiece etc, TZ250 & TZ 350 GP roadrace bikes , Yamie YZ250 E , also  DT175

Apart from farm bikes growing up, my first road bike was a 1978 Yamaha RD350, registered as a 250 to meet learner requirements. Love that smell of 2 stroke.

My first road bike was a ducati silver shotgun 450 desmo I brought from norm fraser when they where in strafield. Cost $550 and it went like the clappers blowing my mates triumph bonnies into the weeds. Sold it and brought my first norton commando 12 months later because they where faster. The good old days when the cops used to belt the shit out of ya for riding to fast leaving there trophy's behind.

    Christ..... this brings back memories.

It was 1972 and I was in my last year of High School. It was a BSA 500cc M20 which I bought for $10.
I chopped it and about a year later it was stolen by surfs and thrown over a cliff.

Have HATED Surfies ever since !!!!!
