Hi Guys,
I am new to this site. My name is Geoff.
Has anybody installed a Genesis 577 or Kuryakyn TC 24-D Cam in the SE Softail 110 Motor? I own a 2008 a Screamin Eagle Softail Springer.
I am looking at changing out the SE 255 CAMS.. Any suggestions?
What are your thoughts?
Best regards,..
Geoff, I checked most cams for my 103 SG. The usual story, torque vs horsepower. I chose a Tman performance cam 577sm. However , your 255 , tuned right is an outstanding cam for low own grunt. There are some great options eg. tman 555 torqster, 600sm or perhaps the Tman 590. Check Fuel moto and their success with woods cams eg. 222, 555 etc. But, of course there is a pay off. Your compression, exhaust and fuel supply need to be scrutinised. Your expectations are also important. Big boys cam comparator is a great guide to your calculations.
Ride safe and sane!
Hi Ando,
Thanks for the input.
How does the Reaper 574 compare to my SE 255 CAM? Does it have good low end torque?
How would it compare to the TMAN 625?
Hi Hogdownunder, i saw a CVO 110 Cow at L A Cycles Hoxton Park did useing the stock cam but he did something to heads & tunned it on his Dyno Jet 250i.
it had a very strong Torque Curve that was long and flat, really good Torque. After that Cow got a few more CVO 110 bikes to do as they road with the guy that owned first one. i only had to look at that Torque curve to know it would be a very quick bike.
If you do a google L A Cycles Hoxton Park rd Hoxton Park will get phone number.
Hi Krash,

I will look up LA Cycles at Hoxton Park.
Do you know who does work on engines as well?
