Hi Brainstrust, (realised this is better off in the Softail section).

Bike: 2008 Softail/Nightrain, 12,000kms, Stage 1 A/C, V&H Big Radius pipes, stock engine. Fluids, appox. 2,000kms (prob less).

On the last 10 minutes of my ride home today I noticed a metallic sound coming from the Primary side of the engine. Mainly occured when I wrapped the throttle on. Drained oil, removed primary cover and found noticable wear marks on the inner primary cover (refer photo). The chain tensior appears to be moving in and out when I apply pressure to the top of the chain.

Any ideas, where to? Is this chain slap?
