gday all,,,,i have bort second hand 2011 fxdb, the bike has been fitted with from new v an h big shots, screamn eagle breather and a power comand ignition, i have the full service history of the bike and its all been done thru a dealer, there is no mention of a dyno tune tho !!

is tuning neccessary or since dealers do so many they no how to set these bikes up?

the bike runs fine im just wondering if im missing out on extra power??

    wots ur opinion on this?

    cheers

If it runs fine then leave it. You may gain something power or throttle responce wise with a dyno tune.

i would have it on a dyno best to have it mapped right if it runs lean or rich you can end up with problems

    Hi Rock 38,

There is a huge difference between running fine and running perfect. Untill you ride the bike after a full custom advance map / Dyno tune done you wont really know what perfect is. After seeing the poor state of tune on ALL the bikes that come to my shop I would do the best for your bike and get it tuned. Good Dyno tuning is time consuming and expensive. But the cost is long forgotten when you have just added 50,000 ks plus to the life of your engine!!! Not to mention the rideability and performance that you WILL gain.

    Cheers Brian.
