Well I finally worked the courage up and installed new Andrews cams (26H) and chrome rocker covers to my 07 Streetbob. I bought the parts about 4 years ago but never got around to it. All diy's were just about cam install and cutting the pushrods, I was also swapping out the rocker covers too so had to pull the top end apart. Changed the cam bearings and lifters too. All in all not too difficult. Only issue I had was torqueing the rear left rocker cover bolts. I was using chrome allen heads and my torque wrench would not fit in with the allen bit so used the click in my elbow.
Just finished the Fuelpak retune so will see how it goes tomorrow. I have already put a few k's on her and she goes great. Engine is nice and quiet and sounds new.
I used the JP cycles youtube video and a diy by an old member called Scotty, plus my workshop manual for the top end.
Should I have a run-in period? Thoughts?
Cheers
