New grips and custom BR bars on today. Defenitely have a beefy look at 1 1/2" thick and look taller with the peak, but still measure 14" to grips. Wires ended up being 2" short, so had to extend every wire by 2 inches, what a pain that was. Will get some better pics, at the moment shes filthy from riding in the rain and then crawling all over it today

pretty happy with the new bars and grips....feeling like Batman riding it now. Satin blacked the oil cap and front turn signal clamps since these photos too. Shotgun shocks and progressive drop ins will have to wait to go in next week when I return from work. Switches look shit now haha where does it end...thinking of some cleaner bar switches, or gloss black the ones on there.

    Thanks Volvi! Well

the progressive drop ins are front springs that, if you've watched Peogressives youtube video on them, are a little misleading with the title. On Dynas you don't have to pull apart the front end you literally jack the front off the ground, open up the top fork caps and drop them in, that's what they show in the video. So after I bought them I learnt with the fxst/b series bikes you need to drop the forks away from the trees, then you can drop them in. Saying that though they are still very much a DIY project, it doesn't require disassembly of the forks/lower legs etc like some front end lowering kits. With the kit there's a spacer that can cut to your liking depending on where you want it anywhere from stock to 2" under. I've talk to a lot of people using them and they all say they far exceed the handeling of the stock front end on our bikes, so it's a win win. I just put HD 1" lowering kit in, but as I'm going air suspension in the rear, I wanted to go a little lower in the front

Cheers Fathead! Always great to hear it even gets a look from chrome lover like yourself. Still some big changes coming over the next month or so, then (as I've said many times before) I need to give the savings account a rest for awhile....famous last words

I think to my door they were around $120-$130. That was from Rollie's speed shop in Brisbane.

wel i just got back from work today, finished my last night shift this morning, travelled 5 hours home and got stuck straight into fitting the shotgun air ride. Took me the rest of the day, so i didnt get a chance for a ride. But here are some dirty pics of the bike done (will get better photos tomorrow up). Still got to put the even lower springs in the front. Imgoing to wait for the new billet black triple trees and beauty tubes i orded for it yesterday to do it all at once....oh and i orded a new black billet fatter front wheel at 21x3.5 with a 130 front tyre....trying to give the bike a bit of a beef up in the front end with the new slammed look

    UP....and...

    slammed!

fitting the compressor was the only hard part about it, and man was it a fuck around. I was nearly about to take to it with a grinder as it was literally a millimetre or two that was giving me grief. Saying that now its an awesome thing whens its done

Verdict on the shotguns is they ride awesome! Heading down the hiway I can pump it in seconds and give it a nice softness to float through North Queensland appalling roads, and around town I can lower it back down while still keeping a comfy ride, then when I park it I can just dump it. Best of all worlds in one set of shocks!

onya squid enjoy. tell me how you come to the setting you prefer. after I picked my bike up few days ago mech said he adjusted them and when riding back home it was like riding the waves kinda boaty floaty feel lol. dunno what he did in adjustments to get that feel. but what I did in the past was just raise both buttons up all the way then drop the back butt. down a few shots. but clearly i havent found that sweet spot yet, tell me yours.

That wouldn't be the mechanic that gave you all the grief with the SS? I only rode around this arvo on it till late, so I haven't spent enough time cruising to work out a perfect adjustment.

If you just pump it up with both then hit that back switch a bit I find you get a floaty feel because it becomes really soft quickly, but with a couple flicks of the front switch after that it firms it up but still soaks up the bumps. Still working on a way to easily get to a sweet spot while riding so I can find it with ease. That'd be one really good feature to have is some sort of memory preset button

Hey Volvi you should throw some pics up of your ride now with the shotguns, keen to see it. I washed my bike this arvo and took it for a ride, minutes later it was raining on and off all day so didn't get a chance to get a couple pics

Well the rain held off today so i went for a run up the range and took a few nice shots off my shit phone camera. Played with the new air suspension along the way, I'm understaning it a lot better now and its making it even easier to adjust on the go

Thanks Volvi! Suppose to have this low (possibly turn to cyclone) hit the coast in the next day or so, so the I thought I'd try get some photos in before that comes because next thing I know I'll be away at work again for another week.

I do the same I flick both switches up until at full height and then go from there. So far I've found giving the rear one a couple quick taps down brings it down to a height I like to ride on around town, sometimes I might need to give the front switch a quick flick up to form it a little. But then I found if I hit some rough road or I'm pulling into a driveway or something that I may scrap, I flick the rear one up for a second or so it quickly pumps the rear up in second or so, which is great that I don't have to go through the slower process of when you first pump air in with the two switches up.
