Glad to see the coppers have got the Prick that hit a motorbike on the Mitchell freeway in Perth yesterday . Killed the rider and draged his bike under his ute for half a kilometer, then pissed off without stopping to give assistance .

    Rest in Peace mate

and I hope the gutless scum that took your life never has a moments rest for as long as he draws breath .

i lost my brother  George   in a motorcycle accident back in 1978, the only car on the old hume hwy  @ 1am , he did not stop , he broke his jaw in 3 places & broke his colar bone in 2 places, that wasn't the fatal injury he had  induced a stone & choked to death on the side of the road,      without enough help from my so called mates on motobikes @ the time that were with him,   he had 3 young sons that were under 7yrs old,    not one day has ever pass that

Was 500 metres on the ABC and they're usually more believable than the other channels, not that it makes any difference now.  Sobering thought, wouldn't like to be attending that one. At least they got him, sometimes they don't find them.

A hit & run would have to be the most dog act ever to happen on the road. A cyclist over here in SA in training for a charity event was hit and left for dead on the side of the road near Victor Harbour recently. A woman who worked her whole career bringing into the work new life & helping new mums adjust to Breast feeding and was head of the Australian Breast Feeding Association. Her husband was only 10 mins behind her on his bicycle came across the scene unable to do anything to save her. The gutless culprits were nabbed by an observant cop a while later heading back towards Adelaide.

RIP to those innocents killed on our roads.  My thoughts are with their families & friends.

it's good too see that they got that fellow , i hope he feels like shit for the rest of he's days , unless he maybe did not see or feel the accident but chances of that would be slim even if he was drunk, i ride a pushie a lot to keep fit but it's always a worry  you have to  keep ears open for every car ,when i'am driving  i always give then room even if i have to go over the double yellows a bit ,when on the pushbike you hear the tyres go over the centre line reflectors you know he a good bike safe driver, a lot of drivers don't give much room , esp in shopping centres

Two things worry me when riding. On my push bike is the worry that I will get hit from behind. Whether they stop or not is one thing but its going to fucking hurt. Been riding pushies since doing paper rounds as 12 yr old over in the cold country (45yr ago).
Next thing that worries me on my moto is that someone will pull out in front of me as I am about to pass the intersection (or whatever). Its going to fucking hurt.
We are all vulnerable on our bikes folks, stay safe, do more motorcycle courses, be alert and enjoy the ride.

Two threads on the same Fthing at the moment, Yes Perth does seem to be the place for getting smacked on a bike at the moment, sometimes the cars fault, had a driver doing a runner and one of them was a bike doing a runner from the breathaliser and T-boned a car. Been a few bike riders killed or hospitalised here lately.

Stuff like this always hits a raw nerve. Was based at Enoggera in the Army back in the 1980's. Had a good mate, he was waiting at the lights to turn right when an arshole ran into him from the rear and killed him outright. He tried to do a runner, leaving his two kids in the car. He was jumped on by some witnesse's to the event. Surprise, surprise, he was pissed, already had a disqualified licence. It knocked the shit out of me, just newly married with a Z1000 as my ownly means of transport. So, gave up bikes for the next 10 years. From memory, the ofender got a 4 year jail sentence, but was out after 18 months.

Yeah this really sucks,,I feel for his family & friends. If the prick that ran doesn't go to the big house then the system is fucked,,he is a fucking coward that should be introduced to the states penal system so as to enjoy the pleasures of anal intercourse.

    Glad the plod got him.

Too many idiots behind steering wheels on the road. Which state is enforcing those laws? Still seeing to many phone calls, emails, make up going on while they're trying to drive.
