Just got into Echuca from Yackandandah, we all got wet arses but hey thats bike riding, the Adelaide guys are hopeing to
make it through to Murryville tonight to allow for a quick run into Adelaide tomorrow.
Got back last night , 950km from Yak . Round trip around 3700km , bikes sounding real "cammy " now . Will post pics when Action can load them for me . Best bike riding roads I,ve done . In 2 days we had ridden around NSW and Vic snowfield alps , amazing stuff .
It was great to meet you blokes and ride with you around the best riding country in Australia, well done to Tim for
organising the route around the Snowys and overnight locations, how did Bob end up by the time you lot got back
to Adelaide, at the garage in Echuca he had uncontollable shakes from the constant rain and having no wet weather
gear, it fined up in Echuca and you wouldnt have belived it was the same day.
Just gave her a wash whilst at Echuca.
Sorry if i missed something , but what happened with all the oil over the bike in a few of the photos?
You didn,t miss a thing . Bob,s Evo had some trouble 500km from Adelaide . The rear plate locating pushrods to engine case , had the bolts come loose losing a lot oil . Lucky he didn,t crash with all that oil on the tyre .Happened to pull up outside a truck and tractor mechanical repair shop , in the middle of nowhere ! Top mechanic who had it tightened and pressure cleaned in 1/2 hour .
Wow lucky boy, plenty of oil around the back and on the tyre, could have been a nasty outcome.
G'day lads, Thought you would get a wet arse leaving Yak back to SA. Six perfect days and one wet day , I'll take that anytime on a long road trip , especially in the Snowy areas !!!! My riding mate Bob had a oil problem I see !!!! Anything could have happened there, but all finished good . I have to come clean and tell you I stayed at Yack an extra night as it was pissing down all day. They had a couple of guys playing blues at the top pub that night, had a great night with the locals , and drank way to many JDs. Saturday rode to Jingellic for two days of bikes and blues . Came home Monday over the mountains, weather was perfect !!!
I will post up some pics , (When I find my fucking camera ) , Hope to ride with you again on that big black line in the future , Cheers Mark !!!
