This is almost comical & would make the list of Worlds dumbest riders. Ride with a target on your back, your bound to find trouble. Good job by the cops in this instance.

+1 to all the comments about the idiots. And on top of being an idiot the one who "tried" to get away has to be a useless bike rider if he cannot get away from police cars in the city, especially in Richmond that is full of laneways & blocked off (to cars) roads.

Who would like to go on a Freedom ride to Parliament House to protest the police harassment of these 5 upstanding citizens, and help confuse the general public on who the "bikies" are?

This is exactly what Muddies the waters between 1% ers and general bike (read Harley) riders with the the general public.
BUT it doesn't condone some of the VLAD type laws being introduced.
It is exactly why Mr Newman and Co picked on the OMG's first, divide the populace, get a small victory, divide again (Say Street Hoons), get another Victory, Divide again (say Soccer Hooligans) etc etc etc.

Next thing you know we are so far down the track of the legal removal of our rights and liberties that there is no return.

Are these guys law breakers and idiots - Yes
Do they deserve what happened - Certainly
Do they deserve to be treated like any other person committing these offenses - Of Course

Does it affect the need to get these VLAD laws rescinded - Absolutely NOT.

We should all be talking to whoever will listen about these laws and their potential impact on everyone in society.
This hoodwinking of the voters is nothing new for our politicians but the potential scale of these laws scares the shit out of me and has me reaching for my Orwell and Huxley omnibus. Its not 1984 but a brave New world beckons nontheless.

    Ride Safe (while you can)
    Nigel.

P.s Yes the endone has kicked in. lol

I reakon these guys are true outlaws and should be very proud of themselves as they have lived up to their status as 1% ers by thumbing their nose at the law. No point in being a 1%er if your going to pay rego and get a licence otherwise your just like everybody else who complies - sheeps. I'm sure the $2500 fines will go unpaid for a while , lol.

EAD - eat a dick. You ride around patched, in a group and unlicensed it's your own fault.

Yes, I did receive that patch and pin thanks. Forgot to send a confirmation email but they arrived very quickly thanks.

No, It's just used regularly at work sarcastically when something 'unfortunate' happens to someone. And being good mates we are there to rub it into said person.

E.g. If someone at my work was caught riding unlicensed and subsequently heavily fined; we would say EAD, it's your own fault and you knew better.
