Hi Guys, Purchased my first Harley over a couple of months ago now and been lurking the forum picking up some cool ideas and tips which has been a great help. My question is, I have picked up a coil relocation kit from Dk customs and am looking at doing the mod myself along with the wire tuck. Im not to good on the tools, is it a straight forward Job? or should i just pay someone to the labour to get it done.

    Thanks in advance

    Mate,

Its fairly straight froward and theres a bazillion videos on you tube showing you how to do it. Check out the link attached.

It also helps (depending on tank size) if your fuel tank is mostly empty. It'll be a little easier to manhandle / move. I made the mistake of having a full 17lt tank when I was doing my coil and key relocation.

it's pretty straight forward, I am a total gumby on the tools and got it all done in about 2hours.

about the only tricky thing was doing up the F6 ignition nut, needed a freaky long ratchet extension to do it up, I had to borrow one.

if you don't feel up for the install I would give the guys at C&R engineering in Revesby a call, a few times I have had to give them real easy stuff to do because I don't have a bike stand, no judgement and well priced.

I just did mine on a 2014 48. Pretty simple to do. Even easier on the 2014s as there is no ignition to relocate!

I'm in Sydney, so if you need any info or help, lemme know. I'll remember not to put on anything backwards like I did with my fatboy headlight haha!
