    Hi Guys

just wondering if any one else has experienced any issues with losing coolant with vrods  / nightrods

Looks like it might be coming from the radiator

    Not even 3 years old  - its a 2011

I originally thought it was coming from one of the lines

If it is the radiator, would it be worth fixing or better to go new

I think a new radiator is around $500 plus

might be worth seeing if the local radiator guy can patch it up

    thanks

    Tony

Try going back to the stealers, and give them the sob story etc.
I'd be very surprised if they helped, without costing $$$$$$$$$$$$
Depending on the problem, i'd try and get it repaired by a radiator specialist.
Have you had issues with over-heating ? low coolant levels? etc. that may have caused this problem?

I noticed White spots on my engine when I took the bike into get some parts fitted, asked them to have a look and they said the thermostat was bust.

This is a 2013 Nightrod. Now I am waiting up to 3 weeks for the repair as parts coming from the states!!! No bike over xmas make for a unhappy husband!!!!

The leaky Harley issue was fixed back in the 90's

then they fucked it all up again putting water into some Harley's.

At least air cooled dont have this problem.

well, the news not good, it looks like its the radiator
new one is around $800 just for the tank

I'm looking at seeing if i can get the old one fixed, looks like that will be around $120
but no guarantees it will last

fucked if i do, fucked if i dont

Tony, you say you hit the back of a Toyota and caused $4,500 damage to it. I'm assuming you made an insurance claim and already paid your excess. If you can establish that the same collision damaged your radiator, couldn't you have the radiator replaced under the same claim and excess payment?
