How does everybody wire their kill switch? Providing everyone does, do we ground the coil through a switch? Are most Harley's point ignition, I wouldn't ground an electronic coil.

Interesting, and yes i am starting a build. But it will be a ride as you go build. I've had enough trouble with long term car projects and i want to enjoy what i own this time around.

Perhaps i should have been more specific, but i am referring to a secondary switch which is hidden. You know, for the riders with poor security measures? I know with points ignition, particularly in cars, one can inhibit ignition by grounding the coil. Now with electronic ignition this is not possible as it will heat up the coil.

I looked at the dizzy on the harley and it seems to be points, hence my question.

Spose either is possible. Where are the coils usually mounted?
