    Hey out there,

Thinking of buying a new harley for travelling on. I like the new FLHRC plus it will be different to the v-rod. I was wondering if any one could reccomend a good dealership in sydney and if there was any one to stay clear of

    Hi,

I have just bought my Harley from Trivett, I was dealing with Graeme Wilshaw the GM. He has decided to leave and his replacement is Scott Hogan.

Prior to deciding on Trivett as my choice I did the rounds at Blacktown and Frazers and I have to tell you that the best deal and followup was from Trivett. This was important to me as this is a good indicator as to how you will be treated in the aftermarth once the sale has gone through with regards to servicing etc.

Although on first walking into Frazers I was impressed with the salesmanship however they lacked any thought with regards to budget etc. It was just presumed that I was after a top end cycle. My guess is that had I been in the market for a sportster I would not have got the same level of interest. I'm not one that beats around the bush and when I ask to put your very best deal on the table with regards finance interest as well as on road costs I do believe that there was plenty of room to move however this did not happen. Trivett on the other hand came in at least 2 grand better and this impressed and their finance interest rate was well below that of Frazers, over 5 years I will be saving alot of money.

This is just my 2c worth.

    Cheers.

Do yourself a favour and at visit all the dealers, don't just ring,as you will just get the same old retail price story,or just come in and see us and we will fix you up.Let them know that you have tried other dealers and don't want to be stuffed around, and just want to know the best they can do.O know quite a few people that have got great deals from all the dealers in Sydney at one time or another.Just don't jump in,as there is quite a choice with Trivett,Sy's,Frasers, and Blacktown Harley to choose from around Sydney.A lot also depends on who you talk to at different dealers,a mate of mine just bought a new 09 FLHRC and traded his 07 Ultra, went around all the dealers and tried BTHD last as this is where he always bought bikes, spoke to warren and asked for best price, wasn't happy and went to Sys and got a better deal,so he did the deal there.Went back to Warren and told him,he was then told that they would have beaten the price if he had really let him know he was serious.Yet when I bought my FLHRC in 07 I got a great deal when trading my old EVO from Metho Tom,and know others that have got even better deals from Young Daniel that has taken over from Tom.So shop around and let them know you are serious.

last month Trivetts became highest seller in NSW ( for good reason ), only behind morgan and wacker.. there after sales service has generally been excellent although the last month a few mates have reported significant tardiness .. i think they are now becoming a victim of their own success with the amt of pre deliveries they are now doing ... worth monitoring ! having said that you usually can book a bike in for a regular service and not wait weeks like others.but like others said worth shopping around AND some may have the bike immediately available others won't.

When I put the deposit on my nightster, I asked the dealer how many blow-ins they get who are "gunna" get a bike, one day,  he said about 100 & they get about 10% of them as sales, so if you are genuine & convey that fact the dealers will take you more seriously.

    Just my experiance
