Hi guys I thought I'd be different, so I grabbed a piece of 2mm Aluminuin propellor plate which I had at home and made my own tank bib this afternoon.  What are your thoughts of the end result.

I'd say there should be more rubbish on the floor not just the offcut near the cupboard. It's too tidy especially around this time of year. No beer bottles laying around.
And i see you your showing off your cordless power tools and drill bits to emphasize your handyman skills. Nice piece of colour-matched carpet to park the sled on.
OH SORRY, yes the new adornment looks flash Ash, even has filed finish edges, great stuff.

Very industrial. Just don't stop in a hurry, it will be like a cheese grater for your nuts. ;)

Clear contact sounds good, i was thinking of felt but it would stay wet. Good neighbour hey.
You know i was tongue in cheek with the other bs i said. lol. looks good dude.

I'm not really into the industrial look but never the less it looks like a nice neat job, well done.  Some clear contact or vinyl would stop the tank from getting scratched.  You would need to stick it on the tank not on the tank bib because you will get some dirt particals in between the two surfaces and it will rub and you don't want it to rub on the tank.

Looks good! Also be very useful when you do the 'stand up on the bike while it's going along' trick, 'cos one foot will get a good grip on that checker-plate, eh!

    .

That's a bloody nice bike you have there.

But the prop plate does it NO JUSTICE

But it's all about what you like

Looks good mate. Get some rubber trim for the edge cause it will fuck your paint. I got some off Ebay. Few bucks from some mob is Tassie I seem to remember.

i think it looks rough as guts 06. you should have used a fine grade emery paper on the edges, the file marks are very noticable but you are a boilermaker after all ( i am a fitter myself). ask the old duck to finish the job for you. seriously but, i am surprised you managed to complete a quality job like that in one hour, the boilermakers i work with are still scratching their arses then. happy new year
