Joined the Breakout crew last week and very happy!!
Was delivered with Stage 1 V&H big radius, SE heavy breather and SE race tuner, and Stage 2 SE 254e cams (dyno tune to come at first service). I also ordered the fat mini apes but they will get put on at first service due to a brake cable being on backorder. I didnt think I could live with the stock bars, but after 250km on the weekend i actually like them and they feel good (I am 6'3).
Also got some Willy G skulls pegs and grips, flush fuel cap and upgrade speedo/tacho.
This is my first Harley and while I have been dreaming of this since I was about 8yo, when i am on it I feel like this is the bike i should have always been riding.

Nice bike mate. I picked up my Breakout a few days before Christmas and I'm already getting the first service done. It's my first Harley as well and I love it. Got talked into the stage 4 kit which is sick. The noise when it's pulling hard is ridiculous!! Congratulations.

I would love a stage 4, but it will be a couple of years in the future.
I do have a problem where my thumbs go numb when riding on the highway.... does anyone else get this?? I do make sure i have only a light grip on the bars but still get it. I am not sure if the apes will make this better or worse because i think it is caused by the vibration through the stock bars??
Anyway, dyno tune and apes going on in the next two weeks. Cant wait.
Yeah the ape kit comes with the straight CVO riser i believe.
The Willie G grips seem pretty large diameter (compared to what I am used to), but i will look into the foam type if I keep having problems.
Because they are too thick?
i was thinking the same thing myself but had read people suggest thicker grips to fix the numbness.
nah mate you should be right although you might not like the stretch to the bars, slightly lean forward riding position.

Hi there I have a 2013 model Breakout (its my 3rd Harley and by far the best one yet) with a stage 1 kit and have been considering the stage 2 with cams, Do they make a real difference to the performance, I am looking for a little more grunt down low. Please let me know whatr you think. cheers chico
