Hi guys, have just replaced bars on my iron, put wiring extensions in and replaced black switches with gold ones! Now my headlight is stuck on high beam and my kill switch is not working! Everything else is OK. I was worried about the connectors on the wiring extension pulling apart when I pulled wiring through only held with shrink tube. I doubt if I had just one wire on each side coming apart if the others are OK plus headlight works but wont dip! I dont think its the switches because it was only covers I replaced, I am starting to think it could be Deusch (bag) connectors! I'm wondering if I may have put pin in upside down?? Any ideas? Thought I would ask the experts before I try to locate problem. Thanks in advance! Grant.
Bugger. Yep you will have to pull it apart again and look for pulled wire for the kill and prob a wrong placed for the HB. I think you have pulled a connection apart on the kill, you need to be able to close the circuit (hit the kill switch) which pulls the relay to complete the circuit that goes to the pump and ecm to stop the bike,(ign stays on). Either a grey wire or the White/black wire for this. And headlight stuck on HB. Wire misplaced into a power on all the time in deutsch plug, look for White wire not in right place. All colours should match up. Yellow is main beam, white is hi beam. See how you go. Others could have different ideas so you should get some more feedback soon.
