2010 Gerabox Bearing Faults

Anyone experiencing a faulty Gerabox Main bearing?

Took my 2010 Road King in to the local Eastern Melbourne dealer for a 25,000 Klm service and a new Tyre.  Bike has been fine.  No signs of faults. Only to find out that the main gearbox Bearing is faulty.  When the bike is on the bench, you rotate the rear wheel and you can feel a slight clicking. Then you listen at the gearbox and you can hear it. I've been told that the Main Bearing and the Gearbox Case needs to be replaced.  I had a look at the dismantled gearbox and the bearing fits into the case loosely?  They are supposed to be a press fit!  (Bearing undersized or; Case oversized?)  Odd thing is,  there was another bike a wide glide, sitting there with the same fault.

mmmmm starting to smell a Manuf. fault.  Waiting on a new case from US.  Quoted 11 hours Labour at $110.00 / hr plus parts.....All up about $2,000.00 and my bikes been in the workshop for 3 weeks.

Any one had the same problem?

Warranty job, your bike should be fault free for more than 3 years, Australian Consumer law should cover you, even out of Warranty.
