I keep an 06 883R in NZ, recently returned and over the last few days cruising around it developed an intermittent miss, i.e. it would suddenly not fire at road speeds...the speedo would go dead and then roll back around to road speed. The charge light would come on, and stay on for a short period (2 or 3 secs maybe), after the bike was firing again, and the speedo had come good. The problem seemed to go away at higher speeds...
Battery, coil, or Voltage regulator/rectifier are my best unscientific guesses.
Anybody out there with any suggestions, I would like to be able to diagnose it, and get the part in Australia, so I could just fit it in NZ and not waste time when I return in February,
