Got my tickets, 3rd time seeing them live and surely the last time they will be here. The greatest live act ever, seem to get better as they age! If you don't believe me, watch the dvd of their concert this year at Hyde park, London.

Seeing them at Allphones, Sydney. Who esle is going?

Yep, my 2 tickets left very little change from $1200! The memories will be with me long after the credit card is paid off. Also taking a couple of days off from work and booked a hotel near the venue, so will be a very memorable couple of days.

Would really like to see the Stones but the tickets are way to high, those guys have way too much cash already im not going to help fill their pockets. Also those large venues arent for me way too many people. Would be great if they did more gigs at smaller venues that would be a fitting tribute to some of the concerts now that there nearing the end

Saw the Stones in 1973 at Kooyong tennis stadium. From memory they were 3-4 hours late and we were in the sun for a long time . Still they were unbelievable. again my memory believes the tickets were $5 each. About the same price as an LP. ( for all those under 35 just ask your parents to translate ) not planning to see them this time.

Yep, I agree it is a lot, but you can't take it with you and I aint planning on leaving anything for the kids to fight over, so might as well enjoy doing what I love, (bikes and music!).

I also picked up a gig for NYE which will pay me that for a 4 hour show, so all good!

just noticed, the concert in Hyde park from earlier this year is on Foxtel tomorrow night (tue 24th) at 8.30 on studio. Well worth watching or recording it, awesome show.

Mick Jagger 'devastated' after girlfriend L'Wren Scott found dead in Manhattan

    Date
    March 18, 2014 - 7:56AM

L'Wren Scott found dead in New York

Singer Mick Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott has been found dead in her Manhattan apartment. For help or information, call Lifeline, 131 114, or visit beyondblue.org.au.

L'Wren Scott, an American fashion designer and long-time girlfriend of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, has been found dead in her New York apartment.

New York police don't suspect foul play.

The designer, a favourite among Hollywood's A-listers, was found by her assistant on Monday morning.

Scott texted her assistant at 8.30am and asked that she come over to her apartment, police sources told the New York Daily News.

Jagger is in Australia with The Rolling Stones On Fire national tour, which was due to begin in Perth on Wednesday.

Jagger's spokesman says the singer is "completely shocked and devastated" by the news. The pair had been dating since 2001 following Jagger's split from wife Jerry Hall.

The US media are reporting the fashion designer took her own life, but say no note was found at the scene.

The Utah-born Scott was a red carpet favourite of Hollywood's A-List, with Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and Penelope Cruz wearing her creations.

But her most loyal customer was Nicole Kidman, who called on Scott to dress her for the Academy Awards and other red carpet events.

Kidman wore a sequinned Scott gown to the 2013 Oscars.

Kidman is shocked and heartbroken by the death of her close friend and favourite fashion designer.

"Nicole and L'Wren were close friends for 25 years," a representative for Kidman told Rumorfix.com.

"Nicole is heartbroken and in shock right now and unable to say anything."

Scott founded her high-end label in 2006 and recently created a more affordable line of clothes with Banana Republic.

She recently cancelled her London Fashion Week show due to reported production delays.

Makeup artist Bobbi Brown collaborated with Scott last month on a cosmetics line called the Bobbi Brown x L'Wren Scott Collection.

''I am devastated by the tragic news about L'Wren,'' Brown said on her website. ''She was a visionary designer who I very much enjoyed working with, but she was also smart and kind.''

The New York Medical Examiner's Office will determine a cause of death.

"A 49-year-old female was found this morning at 10.05am at 200 11th Avenue. She was unconscious," an NYPD spokesperson said.

"She was pronounced dead on arrival by the emergency medical services.

    "The investigation is ongoing.

"We are awaiting medical examiners to determine the cause of death."

Jagger and Rolling Stones bandmates Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts arrived in Perth on Monday morning to begin their Australian tour.

The band tweeted a photo of themselves as they disembarked on the tarmac with their name emblazoned on the side of the plane.

The first show is scheduled for tomorrow night before the band heads to Adelaide.

The east coast leg of the tour will begin at Sydney's All Phones Arena on March 25 followed by Melbourne, Hanging Rock, Brisbane and Auckland.

Tour organisers Frontier Touring Company have been asked to confirm if there are any changes to the tour.

Yep, been waiting all day for news, tragic situation and the last thing anyone would have expected. Mick would be torn apart between his own grief and knowing all his fans want to see the shows as he has always been a true proffessional and lives to entertain.

We have taken time off work and booked a hotel for the night, a friend from work is flying to Adelaide to (maybe) see the show on sat.

OK, looking very much like it will be rescheduled for October / November. Just have to wait untill then. At least there is day on the green this Saturday (Boom Crash Opera, Richard Clapton, Daryl Braithewaite, Ian Moss, The Angels and Jimmy Barnes). Should be a great afternoon / evening.  Also seeing Dragon in April as well as playing 3 gigs in the next 5 weeks, so plenty of music to keep me happy!

Have two tickets for Sydney that are now on hold. Oh well, gives me a chance to pay them off before they arrive back in Australia.

Sure, a lot of coin to see the greatest band in the world. But if I didn't buy them, somebody else would.

Yep, I'm definately hanging on to mine. They just announced new dates for Europe and the word is Australian rescheduled dates will be announced next week. Almost definately for October / November.

Have you seen them before Grrover? Get your hands on a copy of Sweet Summer Sun, the concert in Hyde Park last year, well worth watching for a taste of what is to come.

    Thanks for that Peterdk.

Downloaded a couple of songs on u-tube from that concert.

Sounds good even without surround sound but that's why I'm after the full live experience.

Love live concerts, sorts the men out from the boys ;)

Just scored 2 of the "Lucky Dip" tickets @ $99 ea for the Hope Estate show on Sat 15th.

You don't know where you will be seated untill you arrive at the venue and pick up your tickets, could be anywhere in the venue. At the vineyards, there is no bad spot to be so really looking forward to this gig!
