Good looking unit...I think it gets pretty sticky with RAWS if its not pretty much a factory model. Def new rubber, blinkers and speedo etc.

Might still be a good buy as donor parts on a legal frame?

You canr't get a custom bike built overseas regersed here in Aust. The ADR rules only alow Bikes that have been Factory Produced and that meet ADR requerments to and have Compliance Plates avalable here to come into the country,

Customs can also seize any Bike that dose not compley even it it has import approval at the Dock

You are aloud to build your own Custom Bike by following a some rules and proving that you did build it your self backed up with photos and recipts.for all the parts fitted to it

Some guys buy a bike overseas then pull it apart before shipping, there reasemble it here,, Custom the RTA and Engineers are all on to it so dont even try,

    GO FCKYSELF

    NOW THAT'S funny !!

As said already not worth the drama that custom bike

I have mentioned in another thread the 2006 Heritage Springer a mate of mine bought and brought from an HD dealer in LA

One owner bone stock factory bike , 6,000 miles like new. Sold new and again 2nd hand by Bartels of Marina Del Rey

He's had MAJOR grief with compliancing lasting over 9 months so far with that bike and it's a 100% factory stock bike

Turns out it was a model never imported into Australia when new which has led to most all of his grief

"Wrong" taillight / handlebars / exhaust system etc etc on and fucking on...AND IT'S A STOCK BIKE FFSAKE !!

There's no worries in bringig in a fairly stock shovel from the US , stock exhaust system etc etc

Pre 1989 there's no compliancing BULLSHIT to deal with either , just your state rego ( AKA " the pits";)

There are a couple of Indy shops here in Perth who have had many such bikes arrive thru' the doors recently

Here in WA pre '89 seem to be pretty straightforward

I'm very friendly with a local Indy shop who has brought DOZENS , shovels , older pans , and 1984 type Evos with kickstarts etc

He has no trouble getting them pits passed and licensced. Has a very good name for it !

He also complies newer recent Harleys as well , he just did my mate's 2008 CVO Springer

Maybe that's just WA of course
