Hi all! Just recently purchased a 2004 FXDX. I've yet to take it out on a ride long enough to "connect" with the bike and see how it truely runs beneath but just on the surface it looks as close to factory as it gets with the exception of the SE 2 mufflers.

i bought this second hand from Perth and if anyone recognises the bike or if the owner is lurking around here please holler out! So wanted to black it out but the smokey gold color is kinda growing on to me.

now I need to get this RWC and inspected at Vicroads for registraion in Victoria. I'm afraid the exhaust would not pass as it is not factory. Anyone knows how do I go about this?? Mechanic recommendation?? Original exhaust to lend in return for beer??

the claimed mods under the engine are Andrews cam, 1550 kit, air cleaner..

Thanks guys and hope to learn alot more from everyone!

I've gone from 125cc/120kg scooter to a 1550cc/300kg harley. So yeah it is a big step up and a lot of getting use to the weight of the bike.

The SE2 mufflers are slip-fit. I suppose i can just take any dyna stock muffler and slip on for inspection? I don't need to change the entire pipe from the block do i?

G'day Roy, nice rid mate. I reckon that color looks great. I've never actually seen it before. YOu might get through rwc with those pipes, I did in ACT with similar ones, bike looks great, enjoy it mate.
