Tank lift on a 48

Hey all.  Just looking for feedback and opinions.  Since it has such a smal tank, I don't know what height tank lift to go with.  I don't want to ruin the proportions and the flow of the bike.

    I'm running drag bars.  1.5"?  2"  Higher?

It's hard to find good clear pictures on the net of each height with drags!

I did. Found your post. I still can't tell from your pics the overall profile of the bike as your snaps don't include the entire bike.

I also can't tell what size tank lift you have. I also have drags, where you seem to be running the original bars, and I'm running Burly slammers on the rear. All things that change the look and profile of the bike.

I wouldn't bother on a 48, you can do the wire tuck n relocation without it.

Thanks waz. I wasn't entirely convinced that it looks right on a 48. I've already ordered the relocation kit. It's pretty easy on the 2014. No key to relocate anymore! I didn't know I could do the wire tuck though. That's sweet to know!

A 1.5" lift looks good on them, brings the tank up to the bars! If you do a wire tuck without the lift you will risk squashing the connectors. I did one last week and also hid ll the wiring that runs down the clutch cable.

Doesn't have drag bars but you could photoshop the apes off if you wanted.

2.5" tank lift in the bottom pic with Burly Slammers on the rear. Wiring & Coil relocation as well to get a bit of air happening there.

Thinking of doing a 1.5 lift, coil relocate, ignition relocate and wire tuck

on a scale of 1-10 how hard of a DIY job is it all? Pretty self explanatory? I have the mechanical aptitude of a potato.

unrelated post, but how do you like the Velociraptor intake Busta? Thinking of one and powdercoating it black.

it's not hard. I'd give it a 3-4 on that scale. The trickiest bit is getting the wiring neat, you pretty much have to undo every connector, re-route them, and then put it all in place. It's not hard at all, just takes patience.

The velociraptor intake works great. Had to reflash the ECU as it was popping like crazy with the pipes/intake.. so have run the PV5 for about 10-12 autotune sessions now... it's running really nice. The intake does hit your knee a little, but you don't really notice it.. looks pretty damn good from all angles too, so it's worth it IMO.

    Legend, will order both then.

Narrowed it down to the Joker machine air cleaner or the Velociraptor, I reckon the Kurakyn looks amazing but I would want to black it out.
