Any one know of a K&N element to replace the S&S unit in the Stealth A/C? Preferably the 1" taller unit. Tried the dimensions in the K&N site but no joy

    Cheers

I know what your saying. I hadn't really been thinking about it but was with the guy that did my machine work and he asked if I thought it was big enough. S&S don't mention the bigger element in their doc's for the 124' but they do list 1 that is 1" taller for the Stealth.
Rang Rollies as they are the distributor but as usual have to be ordered in, no point in holding stock, some one might actually want to buy it.
If the weather holds I will get it tuned latter next week and see how it goes.
I do have a larger diameter Arlen Ness one I can use in a pinch but don't want to run it as it looks pretty weak to me and no room to fit the external Breather fittings I use

Took the bigger AC of Karl's 124,fitted the stock size, it still went 130+.
I'd run the same if needed. Just throwing it there as an option.

I just replaced my 3 1/2 inch filter last week with the later washable type from S&S. It was $70 from Rollies for the whole kit so I have a spare set off stand off bolts if you find a filter.
S&S P/N 17-0045 its the complete kit but its a open type filter for the old school tear drop style.

I think that's the one that Carbon is talking about on Karl's bike, not tapered. the kit for the stealth is 170-0127.
Wonder if it would fit the stealth backing plate?

I'm guessing it would but as carbon said it makes the outer cover hang out 1 inch more so its a pain getting half your foot on the brake and footboard. I made a couple 1 inch spacers for my right foot board so its back to normal footing. The only problem with this mod is the board touches down sooner when pushing through right handers. My bike set up with stiff suspension so I can live with it.

well for the time being I have an option. With a small modification the Arlen Ness big sucker fits the S&S stealth backing plate. I will take both to the tuner and see what if any difference there is. Then I will track down a washable filter for which ever one I use.

170-0127 is the same 3 1/2 filter as I'm running on my S&S filter it's a straight type with no taper. Rollies has them
